These terms govern your use of the Parkntel app and website. By creating an account, you agree to them.
The service
Parkntel helps drivers report and resolve parking obstructions by connecting the reporting driver with the driver responsible for the blocking vehicle. Parkntel is a communication tool — it does not tow, fine, or otherwise penalise anyone, and it is not a substitute for contacting the police or your local authority for genuine emergencies or illegal parking on public land.
Eligibility and verification
You must be at least 18, hold a valid UK driving licence or equivalent, and complete identity and vehicle verification before you can submit or receive reports. Accounts that fail verification, or are found to have provided false information, will be suspended.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Submit false or malicious obstruction reports
- Use messages sent through Parkntel to harass, threaten, or abuse another user
- Attempt to identify another user outside the app from the information Parkntel provides
- Use the service for any unlawful purpose
Violating these terms may result in suspension or permanent removal from the platform. The full rules, the reasoning behind them, and what enforcement actually looks like — including how to appeal a decision — are set out in our Acceptable Use Policy, which forms part of these terms.
Content you submit
You retain ownership of photos and messages you submit. You grant Parkntel a licence to store and process them solely to operate the service (matching reports, enabling messaging, and — where a report is disputed or escalated — retaining evidence for a limited period as described in our Privacy Policy).
No liability for outcomes between drivers
Parkntel facilitates communication between drivers but is not a party to, and accepts no liability for, any dispute, damage, or loss arising between users. Use good judgement and follow local law when resolving an obstruction in person.
Availability
We aim for high availability but don't guarantee the service will always be uninterrupted or error-free. We may suspend the service for maintenance with reasonable notice where possible.
Ending your account
You can close your account at any time by emailing us — see Privacy Policy for what happens to your data when you do. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms or the Acceptable Use Policy; where we do, we will tell you why unless telling you would prejudice an investigation or we are legally prevented from doing so.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them. Nothing here removes rights you have as a consumer under UK law, including under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified to active users.
